Karate Basics (Ages 14+): Monday & Wednesday 5:30 – 6:30 pm / Friday 6:00 – 7:00 pm 

We offer all ranks martial arts classes located in Lakeview, Chicago. With emphasis on basics, students will focus and perfect the fundamental self defense techniques (Kihon) while building strength, endurance, flexibility, body coordination, and general fitness. They will also learn various forms (Kata) which are choreographed sequences of block and strike techniques. Practice of Kihon and Kata prepares the students for sparring and self-defense (Kumite) in a controlled and safe manner versus one or more opponents.

Karate Intermediate & Advance (Ages 14+): Monday & Wednesday 6:30 – 7:30 pm

In the class, students will emphasize on perfect execution of techniques (Kihon), Superior forms (Kata), and free sparring / self-defense (Kumite) .

Family Karate (Ages 10+):  Sat. 9:30 – 10:30 am

All ranks class for individuals or families is the perfect opportunity to kick-start your week-ends in a family friendly environment. Students will focus on fundamentals of Karate and practice the basics stances, blocks, and strikes. They will also learn the forms (Kata) which are choreographed sequences of block and strike techniques and have fun during light sparring / self-defense in a controlled and safe manner.

Classes are located at the Japanese Culture Center on the North side of Chicago (1016 W Belmont Ave. Chicago, IL 60657). If you are interested in trying a free trial class, we are happy to welcome you to our dojo.
